He timed his words with his actions and slammed his cock deep inside Micky so that Micky cried out in surprise.
“That’s it,” Hudson said, clearly enjoying himself. “Take my fucking cock, slut.”
Micky groaned as his lover began to speed up and gripped the tree stump harder. “Don’t stop,” he said, louder than before. “Fuck me harder!”
Hudson was up to the task, and Micky gritted his jaw as the man slammed his length deep inside Micky’s ass, before pulling almost all the way out once more. The feeling was like nothing else on earth, and he never wanted it to end. At that moment, it seemed like it wouldn’t either. They were both shifters, after all.
Gradually Hudson built up speed, and Micky matched it with his hips, slapping back against the man’s hips as Hudson came forward. Between them they found the perfect rhythm and for a while all their talking and moaning ceased, as both focused completely on what they were doing.
For Micky it was an exquisite mix of pleasure and pain. Pleasure from the act, and pain from the roughness, combined with his position. It worked perfectly, though, and though he had to bury his fingernails into the bark of the tree trunk, he couldn’t think of anywhere he’d rather be.
The minutes seemed to stretch on into hours, and while he had no real way of gauging how long they had been outside, Micky was sure the sky was darkening. Not that he cared. He wanted Hudson close for as long as he could.
After a while Hudson began to speed up further still, his breathing becoming ragged once again as he worked. Micky could sense what was coming and began to moan to help his man along.
“More,” he said, his voice loud. “Fuck my tight ass. Claim it with your cock.”
Hudson grunted in response but didn’t reply. He did grip Micky’s hips tighter, though, and continued to rail into him like a man possessed.
“Faster,” Micky hissed. “Harder! Fuck me like the slut I am and cover my face in cum.”
That was enough to take Hudson over the edge, and with a snarl, he pulled from Micky and flipped him over onto his back. Hudson straddled Micky and the trunk so that his cock was only inches from Micky’s face and began to jerk hard and fast.
“Come for me,” Micky cooed. “Come for me, Hudson.”
Hudson’s hand sped, and his cock twitched as he came, covering Micky from hairline to neck in thick ropes of warm cum. Micky lay back and took the load, then reached up and took over Hudson’s work, coaxing the last drops with his hands. When there was nothing left, Hudson climbed off Micky and dropped to the sawdust-strewn ground, landing on his ass.
While Micky worked on calming his racing heart and heaving lungs, Hudson did the same. The ache in Micky’s joints had returned, but it was a good ache. He sat up, acutely aware of the sticky load on his face as it dripped from his chin and landed on his still hard cock. Not one to waste such an opportunity, he began to stroke himself, using Hudson’s cum as lube.
The sight was too much for Hudson, it appeared, and the man knelt next to Micky, swatting his hand away then taking over. Micky sat back on the trunk and rested on his elbows, eyes closed as his lover finished the work he’d started.
It didn’t take long for his climax to arrive, and despite clenching his muscles to hold off a little longer, the whole event had been too much for him and he opened his eyes as he came hard, covering Hudson’s chest in cum. Hudson grinned and worked the last few strokes, then stood and rolled his neck.
“I think we need that shower now.”
Chapter Sixteen
Maybe it was all the work with his new abilities earlier, or what had come after that, but at that moment, as they sat on the sofa in the cabin, Micky came to a decision. He stood and turned to face Hudson, who looked up at him, smiling.
“Time for round two?” the man asked.
“Well, it’s time for something,” Micky said. “But not that.”
Hudson cocked his head to one side. “What then, love?”
“I want to shift.”
As soon as he said it aloud, Micky’s stomach lurched in response. It was one thing thinking it, but saying it brought forth a huge assortment of worries. He steeled himself against them with a hard swallow.
Hudson studied him intently, his smile gone. “Are you absolutely sure? The first time is hard. Very hard, in fact.”
Micky nodded once, sharply. “I know, and I’m sure. I have to do it sometime, and it may as well be now.”
Hudson was quiet for a moment, his brow furrowed. After what seemed like an age to Micky, the man stood and stretched.
“We’ll need to move the furniture to give you space.” He dipped by one end of the couch and lifted. “If you want to change your mind, you can do it at any time, okay?”
Micky agreed, then lifted the other end of the sofa, marveling at how light it felt to his new, stronger muscles. They worked quickly and in silence to clear the space. Micky doubted he’d need so much room, but he supposed it was better to be safe than sorry.
Hudson was silent while they cleared, and from his expression it seemed he was thinking hard, likely about what was to come. Micky knew it had been a long time since Hudson had last taken someone through a shift, so the man was probably trying to work out how to explain things.
Once they had finished in their work, Hudson brought Micky to the very center of the room and placed his hands on Micky’s shoulders.
“There isn’t much I can tell you about this,” Hudson said. “The change itself is inbuilt. Even if you feel clueless, your body already knows what to do. You’ll just be telling it it’s okay to start.”
Micky nodded. The thought of making a mistake had been one of his biggest worries, so hearing that he couldn’t screw it up helped a great deal.
“And how do I start?” he asked.
“I’ll come to that in a second,” Hudson said. “Firstly, I need to tell you a few things.”
Micky listened intently as Hudson described what would happen in the change, and what the end result would be. The description was unpleasant, to say the least, but Micky was glad to be getting the whole story up front. What came after the change was what he cared about anyway. Pain was only temporary, after all—especially with his new shifter body.
“For all intents and purposes, you’ll be a wolf,” Hudson said, recapping. “You’ll look like a wolf, smell like a wolf, and even have the DNA of a wolf. I don’t know the science behind it, or the magic, but nobody but shifters and some other supernaturals can tell the difference.”
“But I’ll think like me still, right?”
“Yes, but you’ll feel a little different. Your instincts will be stronger, as well as your base emotions.”
“So I’ll be angrier and hornier?” Micky reached around and squeezed Hudson’s ass. “Sounds like fun.”
Hudson chuckled. “Not necessarily. You may find yourself reacting more strongly to things than usual, but it’ll fade with time.”
“Okay, I get it,” Micky said. “Anything else?”
“That about covers it. Whenever you’re ready, take off your clothes and we’ll begin.”
Micky took in a deep breath and focused his mind. Hudson had said a shift couldn’t go wrong, but a clear head couldn’t hurt, certainly. After a few moments of deep breathing, he shrugged out of his shirt. Hudson took the shed clothes and placed them on the table at the edge of the room. He didn’t return to the center, instead taking a seat on one of the chairs.
“It’s not necessary, but it helps to be on all fours.”
Micky did as he was told and dropped to his hands and knees. “What now?”
“Relax, and think about shifting.”
After another steadying breath, he started to think about running through the trees, the wind blowing through his fur. As he did he felt an odd sensation in his core, like someone had a string tied just behind his navel and was gently pulling. He must have been frowning, as Hudson chuckled.
“It’s a weird feeling, isn’t it?”
“Yeah,” Micky
said. “Should I tense up?”
“Quite the opposite. Just relax and tell yourself it’s okay, and the shift will begin.”
“Right.” Micky sucked in a deep breath and pushed it out through his nose. “See you on the other side.”
As Hudson had instructed him, Micky relaxed and let the “pull” happen.
The shift started almost immediately, and a wave of pain shot up and down Micky’s spine. It hurt, but it wasn’t what he’d call severe.
“This isn’t so bad,” he managed to say. “I was expecting—”
The rest of the sentence became a scream as the pain doubled, then doubled again, and continued to increase until Micky’s whole world was nothing but a red-hot ball of agony. Bones broke and knitted, muscles tore and reformed under flesh that sprouted fur and claws, and he was aware of every agonizing instant. His screams became ragged, then ceased entirely as his throat began its own changes, leaving him temporarily mute.
Though his eyes were screwed shut, he was aware that Hudson was close by, a murmur near Micky’s ear that was likely words of comfort. It made no difference. Hudson had said earlier that the process would take no longer than a minute and would shorten each time, but to Micky it felt like a lifetime spent in torturous pain.
Eventually the pain began to recede, and Micky slowly became aware of his surroundings once more. They were different, though. For one thing he felt lower to the ground, and while he was breathing hard, it didn’t sound like his breathing. He opened his eyes and immediately had to squint as his eyes adjusted. He was certain it had been much dimmer earlier. Had Hudson turned the lights up?
Micky turned his head to find that the man in question was sat by his side, a smile on his lips. Micky opened his mouth to talk, to ask him why he was smiling, but only a bark came out.
“You did it,” Hudson said, his voice louder and even richer than usual. “Look at you, you’re beautiful.”
Micky turned to where Hudson was pointing and spotted a small mirror resting against the wall. It was at the wrong angle to see anything in, but Hudson quickly stood to retrieve it, placing it in front of Micky. He peered into the glass and a wolf looked back.
For a moment he couldn’t process what he was seeing. Thankfully it didn’t last, though. The wolf he was staring at was him. I did it. I shifted.
His fur had taken on the color and tones of his regular dark hair, with an undercurrent of light brown. Tentatively, he opened his mouth to reveal a set of bright white and very sharp teeth, along with a pink tongue.
“Try and walk,” Hudson urged, his smile even wider.
Micky looked down at his large paws. There were four of the damn things! Some days he had a hard enough time walking on two feet. The moment’s irritation brought about a snarl that made him jump before he realized he’d made the sound.
“Don’t think too hard about it,” Hudson said as he placed the mirror on the ground. “Just come to me. Do it once and it’ll be like you’ve been doing it all your life.”
Micky nodded, one of the few ways he could communicate, he realized, then shifted a paw. Like Hudson had said, the moment he tried he realized it wasn’t difficult at all. Hudson moved about the room, asking Micky to follow, and within a minute he was trotting along like he’d been born with four legs.
The practice over with, Hudson dropped down beside him and hugged him close, his fingers running through Micky’s fur.
“Are you ready to go outside?”
The smells and sounds coming from beyond the door were almost too much to stand. He wanted to run between the trees, to chase whatever he could scare from out of the bushes, and to breathe in the night’s air with his new lungs.
Hudson stood. “Wait here while I change.” He moved to the bathroom, then looked over his shoulder. “Don’t look. It’s not pretty.”
Given how the shift had felt, Micky had no doubt that Hudson was correct and could also now see why Hudson had seemed a little reluctant at first. The man had seen Micky change from a human to a wolf. That couldn’t have been easy to watch.
Micky walked to the opposite end of the cabin and sat facing away from the bathroom. It didn’t stop him from hearing the change, though. He tried not to think too hard about the tearing and crackling, and instead focused his attention on the slight breeze that wafted from under the cabin door until he heard a low chuff come from behind.
He turned to find the wolf he had first seen beside his hospital bed all those weeks ago. Micky padded over to meet him, and Hudson sat, allowing himself to be inspected. Micky gave him a sniff and found that he did indeed smell like an animal, rather than a human. However, there was a hint of something else as well, no doubt the thing that all shifters could detect that told them that the wolf before them was actually a fellow shifter.
As Micky moved in closer, Hudson nudged him playfully with his head, then barked and trotted into the back of the cabin. Micky followed, curious, and watched as Hudson opened a hidden panel in the back wall, which snapped shut after him. Micky walked up to the same spot and located the switch, and within moments was out in the forest with Hudson.
Once outside, Micky took a deep breath through his nose and focused on separating the various scents. It was much easier in his wolf form, he found, and he’d soon ascertained that it was going to rain soon and that several animals, maybe deer, had been past sometime in the last few days.
He turned to comment to Hudson, then remembered he couldn’t speak. Instead, he butted his lover’s side with his head and sprinted off into the forest. After a moment, Hudson barked once and gave chase.
Chapter Seventeen
The next morning came surprisingly late. After last night’s shenanigans, Hudson had actually slept well for the first time in a good few years. Unfortunately he’d been unable to enjoy a lazy lie in with Micky as the reason they’d woke in the first place had been Micky’s phone. A customer had called to check that Micky was going to be on time that afternoon. Lucky, since if he hadn’t called, they likely would have slept right through it. Instead they had to quickly pack up their stuff and head back to civilization.
Hudson had used it as a way to test Micky further and had practically sprinted the few miles back to the house. Micky had kept up, but by the end he was in a considerably worse state than Hudson was. Micky had laughed it off, though, saying Hudson had tired him out the day before.
Hudson had to admit he was constantly surprised by Micky’s progress. His senses were in full bloom, and his strength and stamina was something to behold in a shifter so young, even after the stresses of his first shift. The last time Hudson had turned someone had been over a century ago, and it was pretty clear that the years had quite the effect on his blood. Micky’s prowess had Hudson wondering what he himself would be capable of if he pushed himself as much as he’d pushed Micky.
After a quick change, Micky had kissed Hudson on the cheek and dived into his car with twenty minutes before his appointment. He promised to come straight back, but Hudson told him to go and visit his friends first.
“What about the wheelchair?” Micky had asked. “I have to be weak for a while yet, right?”
“It’s at your place already. Just make sure you’re on the sofa when they come around and they’ll be none the wiser.”
Micky had laughed and agreed, saying he’d been looking forward to catching up.
Hudson watched him drive away, then headed indoors in search of a snack. In all the excitement last night, they’d completely skipped their meal, and the effects were making themselves known.
As he sat at the kitchen table with a sandwich that would probably be better labeled as a tower of meat, his instincts prickled. He turned to the kitchen door and sniffed the air. Under the overriding smells of four kinds of meat was that of a shifter. He relaxed when he identified it and turned back to his meal. Someone rapped on the rear door a moment later.
“Come on in,” he said without turning.
The door opened and Snow walked ar
ound the table, dropping into the seat opposite. “Hungry, then?”
Hudson smirked and took an exaggerated bite of his sandwich. “You’ll understand when you get to my age,” he said between chews.
Snow nodded. “You know why I’m here, yeah?”
Hudson swallowed and chased the mouthful of meat with a swig of soda. “Yup.”
“I wouldn’t do it if I wasn’t ordered to. Pack policy, though.”
“I understand, Snow. Really. Rather you get him than The Brooks.”
As much as Hudson disliked the idea, it was standard practice for the local packs to try to recruit any and all new shifters in the area, and since tensions were increasing between the two groups, they didn’t leave it long before the courting of potential new soldiers began.
He hadn’t mentioned it to Micky because he didn’t want the man thinking that Hudson was going to force him to choose him over a pack. That wasn’t Hudson’s way. If Micky decided that a pack would be helpful to him, then Hudson would support him. He wouldn’t like it, but he wouldn’t try and stop him, either.
“He had his first shift last night,” Hudson said.
“Yeah? That was fast. How’d it go?”
“He did great. He’s a lot stronger than I was when I was first turned.”
Snow nodded. “My first was a nightmare. Glad he had someone with him that loves him.”
Hudson smiled, but didn’t respond.
“Want to be there when I talk to him?” Snow asked. “I know you’re close.”
Hudson shook his head. “It has to be his decision, and his alone.”
“Even if he said yes, it doesn’t mean he’d have to stop seeing you, anyway. We ain’t like the other guys.”
Hudson snorted. “Even if you were, do you really think you could stop me from seeing him?”
He turned his attention back to his plate. He hadn’t meant that to come out so aggressive, but he wasn’t going to take it back. One of the reasons the shifters didn’t harass him about joining them anymore was that he had a reputation as someone not to piss off.
