Pack Initiation Page 4

“Bedroom,” the larger man said as he closed the door and flipped the latch.

Darren didn’t argue. He took the steps slowly, despite his urge to take them three at a time. He turned into the bedroom and waited for Paul. He arrived a moment later, already fiddling with the button on his pants.

“Kneel next to the footrail of the bed.”

Darren did as he was told, swallowing a little disappointment. He’d wanted to move straight to the bed, despite his earlier speech about not going that far on a first date. The thought of sucking Paul’s cock certainly held appeal, though, and it would make it all the more intense when they finally hit the mattress. With a smile he dropped to his knees, facing the door.

Paul walked through a moment later, his hand rubbing against the bulge in his pants. As he neared he unfastened the zip and pulled his hard cock out, stroking it slowly as he neared. He stopped mere inches from Darren’s face. Darren leant forward to kiss the tip, and Paul withdrew a little, just out of reach.

“Put your hands behind your head and open your mouth.”

Darren did as he was told, and Paul moved a little closer, placing the tip of his cock on the end of Darren’s tongue. Painstakingly slowly, he moved back and forth on the tongue, going deeper on each stroke, though only by a small amount. Darren savored the hint of salty pre-cum on the cockhead, his gaze not leaving Paul’s.

After a few minutes of slow work, Paul reached down and placed a hand on the back of Darren’s head, over his hands. At the same time he pushed his cock far back into Darren’s throat. The hand increased its pressure, too, pulling Darren onto the cock. The head hit the back of his throat, and he fought hard to gag. Paul noticed and withdrew a little.

  “You okay with this?”

Darren mumbled an ascent, though it was muffled by the mouthful of cock. Just not had one so huge in a while. He opened his throat and Paul slowly pushed his way down. If the cock had felt big in Darren’s hand, it felt enormous in his throat, but he fought the urge to gag and focused on Paul.

Paul’s eyes were shut. He groaned softly as he built up the speed and depth, until Darren’s nose grazed his pubic hair. That spurred Paul on, and he built the speed further, slamming his cock into Darren’s mouth so hard that his balls slapped Darren’s chin. On and on, harder and faster he went until he finally gasped and pulled the cock free.

Darren leant forward, gasping and coughing while Paul jerked his cock with his hand. Darren felt a hand on his hair and a moment later he was jerked back upright. Paul grunted, his attention wholly on the cock in his hand. Darren knew what was coming and opened his mouth wide again, just in time to receive a load of cum to the face and neck. Spurt after spurt came, and Darren did his best to catch as much in his mouth as he could until Paul finally stopped, gasping.

As Paul watched, Darren wiped a line of cum from his chin and sucked his finger dry.

  “So, what’s next?”

  * * * *

Paul stepped into the shower next to Darren and shuddered as the hot water met his cool flesh.

“That’s better,” he said. “Nothing beats showers on tired muscles.”

“Nothing?” Darren slipped behind him and slid his hands over Paul’s shoulders.

  “Almost nothing.”

Darren began to knead the muscles, working the knots out as the almost-too-hot water ran over the pair. Several times Darren’s cock brushed against Paul’s ass, and while he wasn’t a bottom in any sense of the term, he never complained about flesh on flesh. Still, this wasn’t about sex. Darren had said he didn’t go far on a first date, and while he was more than eager earlier, Paul didn’t want to screw things up.

Normally that wouldn’t particularly matter to Paul—he’d try anyway—but he liked Darren. He was more than just a fling. Hopefully, anyway. When they finally got to that part, it would feel all the more great.

“That was fun, by the way,” Darren said. “I don’t normally do what I’m told in the bedroom.”

Paul smiled, though Darren couldn’t see. “I’m glad. I’m not always the big gruff top, but it just felt right at the time.”

Darren squeezed Paul’s shoulders. “Well I’m open to it whenever you feel the urge. I’d forgotten how much I get off on it.”

“Yeah?” Paul laughed. “Me, too, to be honest. It’d been a while since I got to play like that, too.”

“Well, I’m hardly a sub, but if we’re both getting off on something, I say go for it. In the bedroom, anyway.”

  “Just the bedroom?”

“Well, given your mention of public stuff earlier, I should probably rephrase.” Darren worked soap into Paul’s biceps. “Just when someone’s cock is out.”

“I see. Well, if you hadn’t noticed, my cock is out.”

  “Is that a fact?”

Darren’s hands shifted, sliding down Paul’s sides slowly enough to make him shudder in expectation. Down onto his belly, then lower still, toying with his pubic hair.

  “That feels good,” Paul muttered.

The click of the bottle of liquid soap sounded as Darren added more to his hand before gripping Paul’s hardening cock. Darren massaged the stiffening length, his hand slick with soap. He worked slowly at first, his fingers running the whole length, then concentrated on the head as he sped up. Paul put his hands on the wall of the shower cubicle and groaned as Darren worked. His cock already ached a little from the earlier performance, but he often found the second orgasm was better than the first.

“Keep going,” he said, almost moaning as Darren picked up the pace. “Faster.”

Darren did as he was told and worked Paul faster still. Paul looked down to find that Darren’s hand was almost a blur. Weres give the best hand jobs. It didn’t take long before his stomach muscles began to clench in response to the coming orgasm. With a grunt he came, spattering the wall of the shower with his cum.

  “Fuck!”

Darren kept the pace until every last drop had been freed, and Paul’s cock began to soften again. Once he was done, Darren shifted his hands back to Paul’s hips, then sides.

  “All better?”

Paul chuckled. “All better. Now let’s get dried off.”

Five minutes later they were sat in Darren’s cozy kitchen while he put a new filter in the coffee machine.

  “So, the shed,” Paul said.

Darren finished setting up the machine then turned, looking sheepish. “So you noticed that, then.”

“I tracked your movements a couple of hours after our first meet and spotted the tunnel leading into it.” Paul winked. “Pretty smart, though.”

“Thanks. Though since you found it and the tunnel, it doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped.”

“Weres have excellent senses. If there’s something we want to find, we’ll find it. It’ll be of use against humans, though.”

Darren seemed to cheer up at hearing that. “That was my first thought when I set it up, anyway. In case someone spotted me while I was out for a run.”

“Makes sense, given the area. Most Weres eventually move to less crowded surroundings. Or at least somewhere with access to greenery. You’ve got that part already.”

“So you live far out of town?”

“Not really. It’s only a mile or two from here, but it’s pretty quiet.” Paul smiled. “Hopefully you’ll see it sooner or later.”

Darren smiled back. “I’d like that.”

“You know, if you want to really learn about who you are now, there’s something you might be interested in.”

“Oh?” He brought the coffees over and placed them on the table. “What’s that?”

“My pack, or rather Ethan’s pack. We have a couple of openings for new members, since a couple left.”

  “Left?”

“Let’s just say we’re better off without them. That’s not to say we’re a pack of assholes, though,” Paul quickly added. “They’re all great guys and girls, now that the bad element has been weeded out.”

“I have to admit, I had thought about joining a pack.”

“Yeah?” Paul sipped his coffee. “And what was the result of said thinking?”

“That, providing I found the right group, it could be something I’d enjoy. Nice to feel a part of something larger, you know?”

“Definitely. I’ll tell you what. Ethan and Avani are having a little introduction session in a couple of days. We’ll go together, and you can see if it’s something you’d like to join.”

  “Avani the barmaid?”

  “That’s her. She’s the second-in-command.”

Darren laughed. “Seriously? I was expecting someone as burly as the boss, uh, alpha.”

“Looks can be deceptive. Trust me. I’ve seen her fight.”

  “She’s tough?”

Paul grinned. “Tough is an understatement. She’s a frigging explosion of claws ’n’ fangs.”

Darren smiled, though it looked forced. “I’m not much of a fighter, myself.”

“That’s okay. There are many roles in a pack, and most don’t involve fighting.” In this pack, at least. “I’ll call you with the time and place once it’s nailed down.”

They drank their coffees in thoughtful silence, until Paul’s phone beeped. He pulled it from his pocket and opened it to find a text from an unknown number.

  Tick tock…

Paul tried to not let the anger show on his face. Gabriel. It had to be. He always liked to pile on the pressure. Maybe he thought it would make him agree to do the job just to shut him up. Thinking back, it had worked in the past. Not this time.

“Something up?” Darren asked, concern furrowing his brow. “You look stressed.”

“Just work stuff.” Paul flipped the phone shut. “Minor emergency. I’m afraid I’m going to have to head off and deal with it.”

“Oh, right.” Darren stood. “Well, it’s no problem. Another time.”

Paul stood, too, and leaned in toward Darren. Their lips met, and Paul ran his tongue across Darren’s top lip. He opened his mouth in response, and Paul slid his tongue in. They broke a moment later, both smiling.

“I’ll call you,” Paul said as he ran a thumb down Darren’s cheek.

  “Promise?”

“Cross my snout and hope to howl.”

Darren laughed. “Good enough for me.”

He walked Paul to the door, then waved from the driveway as Paul pulled away in his truck. He needed to talk to someone about Gabriel, and Darren wasn’t that person. The last thing he wanted was to spook the guy before they’d even really got to know each other. No, he’d talk to his go-to guy for such things, and try and find a way out of murdering someone.

  Chapter Six

As soon as Paul left, Darren flipped his PC on and searched for information on Were packs. Since he’d started looking a couple of months ago he’d manage to weed out the rumor sites, along with the fictional nonsense, leaving a few forums that seemed to be accurate at least some of the time.

The first site he came to had next to nothing of interest, so he jumped to the second one and browsed the older posts until one about pack dynamics came up.

Were packs run in a similar fashion to those of wolves in the wild. A rigid hierarchy with multiple tiers, often enforced brutally.

The post went on for several paragraphs, but Darren clicked off it in frustration. Paul had already told him that it wasn’t like that, at least in Ethan’s pack.

“I guess I’ll just have to wait for this meeting thing.”

Despite himself, he shuddered. Ethan was a big, intimidating man, and while Avani seemed pleasant enough—if a little too flirty—he didn’t know her well enough to be certain.

  “I know Paul, though.”

He frowned as he stood. Did he? He’d known the guy for a couple of days. Sure, they’d talked a bunch, and definitely seemed to click, but he’d still hardly call him a friend yet.

Ugh, screw this. He turned off the PC and headed back to his bedroom. The rest could wait till the morning.

He was woken at six in the morning by the phone. Hoping it was Paul wanting to meet up again, he jumped out of bed and grabbed the handset. The caller display read “Robby,” though, and he grudgingly answered.

“Why are you calling me so early?”

“So late, you mean,” Robby said over a low throb of bassy music somewhere in the background. “Haven’t slept yet, baby.”

“All right, then.” Darren sat on the edge of the bed and rolled his stiff neck. “Why are you calling me so late?”

“Rumor has it that you were out last night with some cutie with a body to kill for.”

Damn it. Robby knew everyone, and was always the first to find out any gossip. Darren rubbed his eyes with his free hand.

“Well?” Robby said. “Ah, you know what, I know you were, so I’m coming over. You can give me the details while I drink all your coffee.” The phone clicked as Robby hung up.

Darren tossed the phone onto the bed and quickly ran through his morning stretches. Since the change he didn’t need to bother, but it was a good habit to keep. It also gave him chance to muse over the day.

Paul had said last night that he’d be busy, but would call later if he got chance, so that left Darren with a free morning, at least. Shame. He shook his head with a smile. He’d only known the guy a couple of days, and already he was wanting to spend every minute with him.

The coffee machine did its thing as he dropped into a kitchen chair and checked through the mail he’d just collected from the mailbox. Bills and flyers, as usual. Nothing of interest for the moment. He tossed the small pile onto the table and tapped his fingers on the wood while he waited for his caffeine fix. He was just getting up to pour when Robby appeared in the window of the back door.

“Let me in, it’s freezing out here!”

Darren unlocked the door, and Robby made straight for the stairs. “Where are you going?” Darren called after him.

“Shower. Need heat. You’re welcome to join me.”

“I’m good.” Darren dropped back into his chair. “Just hang the towels back up when you’re done.”

Robby reappeared ten minutes later, dressed in Darren’s bathrobe. He dropped into the chair opposite and grabbed Darren’s coffee, draining it.

“Keep ’em coming,” he said as he slid the cup back to Darren.

Darren sighed and got up to make two more large coffees, then handed one to Robby.

  “So, good night?” Darren said.

“Eh, I’ve had better. The booze was plentiful, though, and the ass was easy to grab hold of, so I suppose I can’t say much bad about it.”

Darren smirked into his coffee. He’d had his wild moments in the last decade, but compared to Robby he was a nun.

“But that’s not why I’m here,” Robby said with a grin. “Come on. Spill.”

“His name’s Paul, he’s a foreman in construction, and he drives a big truck. That do you?”

“For the moment. How did you meet?”

“At The Wolfpack, before I left. He stopped by the next day.”

Robby raised an eyebrow. “Pretty stalkerish. How did he know where you lived?”

He’s a werewolf, and had tracked my scent to the house the previous morning. “I left my wallet on the counter. He found my address in there and dropped it off, then asked me out.”

“Ah, a Samaritan as well as a cutie?”

“Something like that.” Darren sipped his coffee. Not enough sugar. “The date was fun. Good food, good conversation.”

“And afterward?” Robby licked his bottom lip, his eyes bright. “Did he show you a good time?”

  “You could say that, yeah.”

  Robby beamed. “Tell. Me. Everything.”

Darren laughed. “Not in this lifetime.”

Robby whined like a puppy and cocked his head to the side. “Pleeeaase? You know I get off on vicarious action.”

Darren rolled his eyes. “He’s even better looking with his clothes
off, and he has the biggest cock I’ve ever seen outside of a Playgirl.”

“And?” Robby leaned forward. “What was it like on the way in?”

“Jeez, Rob!” Darren stood and shoveled sugar into his cup to hide his blush. “We didn’t get to that. Just other stuff.”

  “What? Why?”

He turned back to face his friend. “Because we’re taking it slow. Well, I suppose not that slow, given what happened. Not as fast as you, anyway.”

Robby shrugged. “I like to fuck. S’no crime.”

“The way you do it? I’m not so sure.”

  “Fuck you.”

“You wish.” Darren grinned. “So yeah, I like the guy. We’re probably going out again tonight or tomorrow, depending on work.”

“Well, I wish you well, buddy. You’re due a decent relationship.”

  “And lots of cock.”

“And lots of cock, yes.” Robby laughed. “So, don’t suppose you took any pictures, did you?”

  * * * *

Paul pulled into the parking lot of The Wolfpack to find Avani leant up against the back wall of the club, a cigarette dangling from her fingers.

“I thought you’d quit,” he said as he stepped out of his truck.

“Eh, took it up again.” She shrugged her slender shoulders. “It’s not like it can kill me.”

Paul smirked. “Got time for a chat?”

“Sure thing, hot stuff.” She took one final drag from the cigarette. “My shift just finished. Inside, or are you taking me for a spin?”

  “Lady’s choice.”

Avani smirked. “Lady. That’s a new one. Let’s take a ride.”

  “Great.”

That worked better anyway. The club was staffed and patronized by more than a few pack members, and he didn’t want anything getting back to Ethan. Not yet, anyway.

They drove in silence while Paul tried to form some sort of coherent explanation for his problems that didn’t give anything away. Avani seemed content to let him think. After several turns and a few long streets, Paul sighed.
